waiting for the green light
this race is gonna keep me entertained
along with so many others, gathered to watch them

they're already aiming to be the front runners
the toughest ones, like great warriors
nothing can pull them away
from the track they're racing on today

the podium is all set
for those who make it to the final

the flag has been dropped
checkered, black and white
for the first, the second, the third
from the stands, I cheer for their success

on the podium, they’re already there
laurels, women, and champagne

it's all excitement and smiles
along with the tourists from my country
