Me da Pena Confesarlo
Almafuerte
It Pains Me to Confess
A man is born in this world
Screwed over by fate
And he continues on his way, so sure of the grind
Not thinking that the harshness of life without love
Entangles his existence in the winds of pain
But there comes a moment when he realizes his luck
And he gets bitter until death, with no salvation in sight
For he understands that life was just a fling
When he lost the dear faith of his poor heart
It pains me to confess
But it’s sad as hell
To fall so low
Defeated and getting old
It’s not manly to lament
But seeing how I drift away
Without being able to fix it, I cry without wanting
To cry
If it weren’t for the memory of my beloved mother
Cornering me in this life with heartfelt devotion
I wouldn’t be the one enduring this sad situation
And the one who looked at you without opening my heart
But there are things, my friend, that no one understands
Sometimes you defend yourself from pain to live
Like the one who boasts of courage and suffering
Doesn’t kill himself out of cowardice for fear of not dying
It pains me to confess
But it’s sad as hell
To fall so low
Defeated and getting old
It’s not manly to lament
But seeing how I drift away
Without being able to fix it, I cry without wanting
To cry
