Ah! If the cross could take your mind away
Speaking of the innocent sacrifice
The great sacrifice of Jesus

Ah! If the rough wood every day
Could express the agony
That in words is never translated

Ah!, if everyone could really look
At that sad picture, they would fear
The righteous blood flowing down on the cross

Ah! If the world could contemplate that scene
My Christ exclaiming to the Father only
This salvation is well accomplished

Ah! If the cross could reproduce that cry
It would be heard by the world
Jesus gave us redemption on the cross

Ah! If instead of projecting wars
The powerful ones of the planet Earth
Would look at the Savior before the cross

Ah! If finally the sky, and the earth, and the sea
Could explain all of this
Tell of the immensity of this love
