The Walk
Lord, if there is danger of falling or setback
On this road of cruel struggles
Help me carry my cross
Lord, if I can't carry it alone
Your grace will be enough for me
I can't stop on the way
I know that the cross you gave me, Lord
Is only mine, only I bear the pain
I can't leave it on the road
And the walk is long and atrocious
Hearing your voice sustains me
Here I am to help you
Lord, it's hard to pass through the valley
When the cross I'm carrying
Seems to weigh more and more
But, heavier carried my Jesus
Without groaning, without lamenting the cross
He endured it with mortal pains
He went up to Calvary and died there
For you and me, he became guilty
This being pleasing to God
Christ proved the death of the cross with love
He freed me from the Calvary of pain
He released my entry into heaven
I don't know how you are, my brother, with your cross
If you lead it crying or singing
Or if you think about giving up
I know it's difficult to lead it
On a road where you can fall
Without ever being able to get up
But remember that Christ Jesus
Gave us a burden instead of a cross
A light burden that you can carry (carry)
His yoke is gentle enough for me
And my soul will finally rest
With my Christ in heaven you will enjoy
His yoke is gentle and enough for me
And my soul will finally rest
With my Christ in heaven you will enjoy
