O Julgamento
Amado Batista
The Judgement
Silence, the defendant has something to say in their defense
Whenever I returned home
She would wait for me all afternoon at the gate
And in the embrace, kissing me tenderly
She squeezed me with madness, provoking emotion
Our room filled with love
And in the embraces, the warmth of her body ignited me
And suddenly, without censorship or prejudice
She gave me the right to love her as I wanted
Moments that I lived, nights that I didn't forget
But one day, returning home early
As I entered, I was afraid, something was not right
In our bed, the one I loved the most
Completely surrendered in the arms of someone else
Desperate from the blow I suffered, I didn't even realize
That I was shooting non-stop
Seeing the bodies embraced and lifeless
I saw a wound born in my hurting chest
At that moment, how I suffered
In a way, I also died
Judge, I ask for your attention
To my explanation
My only defense
At that moment, I was unconscious, but now in the present
I can't bear this sadness
How would each one who condemns me act if they witnessed the same scene
Being there in my place
That's why I ask to hear the cry of reason
No one suffers betrayal and remains silent to think
