Sonho na mata
Amado Edílson
Dream in the forest
I was sleeping and dreamed
In the same dream I heard
A voice saying go
Visit the green forests
To serenade
In the mountains of Pará
I entered the forest
When I got to the center
I tuned my guitar
For walking in strange land
I asked permission from the mountains
And sang a song
While I was singing
An Indian arrived looking at me
And started to speak
Attend to muruquixaba
Accompany me to the village
That the shaman sent for
There at that moment
I stopped my instrument
And lost faith in living
With my guitar aside
At that moment I was taken
To the shaman's hut
The shaman spoke to me
And said my friend
Sing a song
I sang and he rejoiced
An Indian fell in love
And offered her heart
I contemplated the beauty
But it was the greatest surprise
That in life I could have
I knew she was beautiful
And another Indian like her
I will never see again
There at that moment
I spoke to her about marriage
And the shaman didn't mind
We got married in the forest
There was a serenade
Of guitar and song
When the party ended
Every Indian left
And I also left from there
With the Indian through the flora
And there at that moment
I woke up and saw no one
