Well thought out, we all have our fate
And those born cursed, will not have a better fate
Fate is luck, from the cradle to the grave
No one escapes, no matter how strong
The destiny that God gives!

In my fate, embittered, my fate
Clearly revealed itself
For when I sing, whoever it may be guesses
In my voice, sobbing
That I pretend to be someone I'm not

It would be good to be able, one day, to exchange fate
For any other fate
But we already carry our marked fate
And none more relentless
Than this of being a woman!
