Débora, a Escolhida
Amanda Nicácio
Deborah, the Chosen One
Under the Palms between Ramah and Bethel
In the mountains of Ephraim, she judged the causes of Israel
A sincere and God-fearing woman named Deborah, a woman of worth
She called for Barak and said: Perhaps the Lord
The God of Israel did not give an order saying
Go to Mount Tabor and take with you
10,000 men from the sons of Zebulun and the sons of Naphtali, at the Kishon River
I will deliver the army of Jabin into your hands
Then Barak said to her: If you go with me, then I will go
But if you will not go with me, I will not go
And she said: Surely I will go with you
But the honor of victory will not be yours
For the Lord God will deliver Sisera into the hands of a Woman
At the steps of the Lord God, the earth trembled
The rain fell, the mountains trembled before God
And from the sky the stars fought in favor of the people of Israel
900 iron chariots, stuck, paralyzed
And the Lord fought, and the Lord defeated
By the edge of the sword the enemy army
And the Lord fought, and the Lord fought
And with a stake Jael killed the chief of Jabin's Army
And the Lord delivered victory into the hands of a woman
And Deborah Sang, And Deborah Danced
And she declared: Holy, Holy is the Lord!
And she beheld what God did, a whole army fallen on the ground
For God heard and honored a prayerful woman's request
Virtuous and Warrior Woman
God walks with you, woman of prayer
In the midst of war, He gives you strategy in tribulation
He will exalt you, give you power, there's someone in the war needing you
You go ahead praying and singing and God will act
He will make it tremble, He will make it rain
He will make it fall, those who persecute you
Those who confront you, will answer to the Lord
He chose you, empowered you, filled you with grace and set you apart
He gives you strength and conviction, virtuous woman, woman of prayer
Who lives prostrate with her face in the dust
Who wins the battle and is never alone
With wisdom, He will use you
In the midst of war, He will help you
Through your life, someone will prosper
And you will sing
