My Target Is Heaven

I don’t give my worship to just anyone
My worship is exclusive, it’s for my God
I won’t bow down before the king
Just like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego
I won’t bow down

Even if they throw me in the heated furnace
Throw me in a pit full of lions
I won’t bow down, I’ll only worship God
The Bible says, we should only worship God
Just like Daniel, I won’t be defiled
I’m a temple and dwelling of the Spirit of God

I won’t let the world and its system blind my vision
My target is heaven, I want to be like Abraham
Who was faithful to God and obeyed through trials
I want heaven, my target is heaven, I won’t give up heaven
I want heaven, through trials, I want to be faithful
I want heaven, I won’t trade my inheritance from God

I imagine the joy it will be when I get to heaven
And hear my name pronounced by Jesus
