Forgotten
I forget my name and my last names,
I forget the date of the day I live,
With some time, forgetfulness comes
To those I've hated and those I've loved.
The letters, the song titles,
The changing pace of the seasons.
I approach the mirror, I look at myself and smile
My own reflection fell into oblivion.
But you are the last thing I see,
Before sleep overcomes me.
You are always with me in a dimension
Far from oblivion.
I forget the mother I've never been,
The lives of others I haven't lived.
Sometimes I remember and sometimes I forget
The years I've completed.
And then I forget, and forget and forget
And nothing stops me from forgetting
All the myths that have fallen for me.
I have plenty of reasons to murder
Some ghosts with blows of forgetfulness.
But you are the last thing I see,
Before sleep overcomes me.
You are always with me in a dimension
Far from oblivion.
