I carry on my body the marks
The marks of the Lord Jesus
And now let no one disturb me
For I walk in the shadow of the cross
My face reflects the struggles
That I faced on the journey
Only God accompanies my steps
And knows how much I cried

The hours of lost sleep
The cold chilling my body
Danger on such long roads
Only Christ who comes to guard me
Sometimes singing and crying
I don't let anyone notice
In my chest the wounded heart
Only Christ to understand me

Carrying the message sung
Bringing joy to many brothers
I spent my life in the work
Without thinking of having reward
I find myself almost without strength
My youth has gone
But still I keep going
Because my Jesus won't delay

And troubled, losing your calm
