Mar Y Luna
Ana Belén
Sea and Moon
They tied up urgent love
Salty mouths from the waves
The shores damaged by storms
In that city
So far from the sea
They loved the calm love
Of nighttime beaches
Skirts were lifted
And they got drunk on happiness
In that city
Without moonlight
They loved the forbidden love
For now it's known
Everyone's talking
That one was pregnant
Hungry for the moon
And another went naked
Eager for the sea
And they were left marked
Hearing laughter, shivering from the cold
Looking towards the river
So full of moon
And it keeps on
Flowing to the sea
And they went downstream
Rolling in the bed
Swallowing the water
Floating with seaweed
Dragging leaves
Carrying flowers
Until they sank
They turned into fish
Turning into shells
Turning into stones
Turning into sand
Silvery sand
With a full moon
Near the sea
