Ghost
I met a guy with a flat-brim cap
He calls me miss and takes me out to eat
He has a band, and within a week
He brought me breakfast in bed and asked me to stay
I started liking him
When he said he liked me
In just twenty-four hours, everything changed
Of course, it wasn’t the right time to get so attached
And once again, I fell for a ghost
He haunted my house
And then disappeared
We never saw each other again
Ghost, haunted my house
And then he disappeared
We never saw each other again
Walking hand in hand
Late at night, he showed me that place
That he said he wanted to take me to
If he didn’t want to, why did he say he did?
Of course, he was lying just to impress me
I didn’t even want to like him
He’s the one who insisted and wanted it this way
A trip to the beach was just a front
Part of what he made up to get close to me
And once again, I fell for a ghost
He haunted my house
And then disappeared
We never saw each other again
The term ghosting, which comes from the word ghost
Defines the sudden disappearance
After misleading promises, in an unexpected way
The other person vanishes without saying why
And he still shows up sometimes
When Pink Floyd plays on vinyl
I swear I liked him until the day he disappeared
Ghost, he haunted my house
And then disappeared
We never saw each other again
Ghost, he haunted my house
He wasn’t even all that
I just wanted him as a friend, at first
