Despiu a Saudade
Ana Moura
Undressed Longing
Undressed the longing after dinner
On a plate already cold from waiting so long
The one who drinks in the dives of life
Rounds of lovers with lost desires
And arrives so full of nothing to give
Shook off the dust of that first love
In a corner kept in his heart
That picture frozen in time
That bites on the outside, hurts on the inside
In a body empty of so much illusion
But suddenly like a sun after the rain
The night turned into dawn
Goes to the mirror, makes herself pretty
Red lips, body in prints
Dressed in a hurry as if already late
Sparkle in her eyes, a girlish air
Free and queen, wildly
Jumped to the moon, on my street in the early morning
Wearing her heart on her sleeve
And fate written in the palm of her hand
So many years without imagining
The dreamed day of the craziest night
In the streets of life with her dancing
Undressed the longing
Shook off the dust
