Anabantha Anabantha

Poem 20

Poem No. 20

I can write the saddest verses
...tonight...
Because on nights like this,
I had him in my arms.

The night is starry
And the stars tremble blue in the distance... in the distance

The night wind spins in the sky
And sings... and sings

I loved him, I loved him
And sometimes he loved me... He loved me too

I kissed him so many times
Under the infinite sky... infinite.

He loved me and sometimes I loved him too
How could I not have loved his big, fixed eyes
I can write the saddest verses tonight
Thinking that I don't have him and feeling that I've lost him

Love is so short, forgetting is so long
To hear the immense night, more immense without him
And the verse falls to the soul, like grass to the dew...
Like grass to the dew...
