Carta Para Deus
Anderson Freire
Letter to God
I write this letter, believing that the Lord will read it
I asked the Holy Spirit to take it to You
My tears falling, I crossed out these letters
I know there will be missing words, you also know how to read silence
I don't want to carry this burden of the world
And lose my soul and the pleasure of worshiping You
Take away the anxiety, teach me to rest
The weeping lasts for a night, You are my dawn
I woke up with this desire, a strong desire to live
I knelt at the foot of the bed just to thank You
You are my greatest miracle, Your presence is my cure
Reveals itself in details, a hand that holds me
Teach me to see You in someone's good morning
In such a simple hug, without caring who
Only You are my light, when my soul screams in the dark, oh Jesus
I don't want to carry this burden of the world
And lose my soul and the pleasure of worshiping You
Take away the anxiety, teach me to rest
The weeping lasts for a night, You are my dawn
I woke up with this desire, a strong desire to live
I knelt at the foot of the bed just to thank You
You are my greatest miracle, Your presence is my cure
Reveals itself in details, a hand that holds me
Teach me to see You in someone's good morning
In such a simple hug, without caring who
Only You are my light, when my soul screams in the dark, oh Jesus
