Deserto
Anderson Freire
Desert
I don't need to turn
Stones into bread to prove
That the Lord is here
Taking care of me
From a high place I won't throw myself
Just to show your power
I don't need to see miracles to believe in You
I won't trade our communion
For the pleasure of conquering
Palaces, riches
Like a desert
This too shall pass
That's why I'm standing strong
And when my strength runs out
Your angel will feed me
To worship You is what keeps me standing
I won't lose the battle
To praise You amidst temptations
Is more than strategy
I may not see tomorrow
But today I know
That this desert will come to an end
The Lord is taking care of me
I don't need to turn
Stones into bread to prove
That in the desert You are
Taking care of me
From a high place I won't throw myself
Just to show your power
I don't need to see miracles to believe in You
I won't trade our communion
For the pleasure of conquering
Palaces, riches
Like a desert
This too shall pass
That's why I'm standing strong
And when my strength runs out
Your angel will feed me
To worship You is what keeps me standing
I won't lose the battle
To praise You amidst temptations
Is more than strategy
I may not see tomorrow
But today I know
That this desert will come to an end
The Lord is taking care of me
To worship You is what keeps me standing
I won't lose the battle
To praise You amidst temptations
Is more than strategy
I may not see tomorrow
But today I know
That this desert will come to an end
The Lord is taking care of me
