Lo que no existe mas
Andrés Calamaro
What No Longer Exists
I just woke up
and something feels off,
it's like I forgot everything.
As if with the new year
nothing I knew still exists.
And I tell myself, I’m lucky, buddy,
the heart will be grateful.
If today I could start over
making the most of this amnesia that’s got me.
No more bad news, just good stuff,
not a complaint or a memory.
Something like serving a sentence,
something like a second chance.
I’m gonna try to live without a past,
without this rusty nail I always have stuck.
I’ll savor this wine of forgetfulness
to get drunk on the rest of my life.
To live, you need a lot of things,
but what no longer exists is in excess,
but what no longer exists is in excess,
because it no longer exists.
I just woke up
and something feels off,
it's like I forgot everything.
