Las Oportunidades
Andrés Calamaro
Opportunities
Sometimes waiting for opportunities,
they are not seen and everything is thrown away
and you so proud that you never told me
that you were also mine that summer...
Watching the swallows in the sky,
no other swallows are within reach
that's when stupidity wins by a landslide
to the luck that never comes if we are waiting for it
How?, When? and Why?
are too many questions to ask destiny
sometimes we are on point and other times not at all
because you have to walk before you start running
Blame is a very ungenerous invention,
and time a tremendous lizard invention,
will it be enough if one chooses,
because if not, good fortune passes by
and you so proud that you never told me
that maybe, you were mine one summer...
and you so proud that you never told me
that maybe, you were mine one summer...
