Mi Generación
Andrés Cepeda
My Generation
I was born with my neighbors
When speaking was a danger back in '73
And I grew up looking at a sky, that no longer seems eternal
Not with herbs nor with faith
They taught me as a kid, that God only shows one side
And you pray to Him in English
From my house to the mall, I never had much time
To ask whyyy
It's the story of my generation
Tell me, tell me, tell me where we're going
My city is no longer the same song
I feel like this story isn't over
They took the embassy
They took the palace
I saw them on TV
I had my chocolisto
And listened to Lucho Herrera
Crowning himself champion
When I was falling in love, the girls were listening
to supposedly Spanish rock
And the bombs were exploding, meanwhile they were narrating
A great constitution
It's the story of my generation
Tell me, tell me, tell me where we're going
My city is no longer the same song
I feel like this story isn't over
I was born with my neighbors
When speaking was a danger
Back in '73
And even if a lot of time passes
We'll swear not to be old
To love each other again
