Desde El Frío Fin Del Mundo
Angelo Escobar
From the Cold End of the World
Cold, cold white, white winter
This isn’t pain that I feel
Always weak thoughts
You’re nothing
Dream, the fire of our bodies
The explosion of sacred water
I want you to take me, wind
To the voice of her gaze
I feel like I’m only what I feel
Give me more, cold kiss of death
Give me more, be relentless with my bones
I live needing her,
Today as this world is dying
And I freeze without her breath
And I sense that I’m dying
Cold, generous, good cold
My holy cry isn’t pain
It’s her love that I sing so much
It points me out
Everything draws her up
And I’m like a statue
Where white feathers rest
From her liberating wings
A statue with a guitar
Give me more, cold kiss of my fate
Give me more, be relentless with my brains
I live needing her
To explode along with the world
And I freeze without her breath
And I celebrate that I’m dying
