Juliana
In a late afternoon, middle of December
I still remember and can even tell
The sun was setting into the horizon
Juliana saw love arrive
The new moon near the riverbank
Weaving mats over the araçás
Entering the grass, her dark body
Juliana saw love arrive
Fragrant and beautiful rosebud
Still such a young girl blossoming
Through the flowerbeds of first love
the time had come for her awakening
And poetry then found a home
in the rosebush life that was opening in pairs
Among sighs by the riverbank
Juliana saw love arrive
And Juliana then became a woman
And Juliana saw love arrive
Fragrant and beautiful rosebud
Still such a young girl blossoming
Through the flowerbeds of first love
the time had come for her awakening
And poetry then found a home
in the rosebush life that was opening in pairs
Among sighs by the riverbank
Juliana saw love arrive
And Juliana then became a woman
And Juliana saw love arrive
And Juliana then became a woman
And Juliana saw love arrive
