El bravero
Antonio Aguilar
The Brave One
They call me the brave one
because I risk without condition
I will not back down
whenever they offend my heart.
I come to sing to you with pleasure
my most beautiful song
and I come to scare
those who have had the pretension
to think that you don't like me
and have taken advantage of the occasion
I am brave by nature.
I know of another who likes you
he no longer approaches, I wonder why
maybe he fears my shadow
and sometimes shadows can be scary.
A dead rooster wins the fight
if the other one runs away
I am the rooster at your window
I don't know why your rooster leaves
and today if I feel like it
another rooster won't crow here
because if it crows
it will die.
I have never backed down
and I will never back down
for I am a well-played rooster
and here on the line they will have to kill me.
I am stubborn in matters of love
I will not back down
not even if you kneel and cry
or scold me
for hunters
hit where they aim
and I will aim for your loves.
