Es Mi Soledad
Antonio Orozco
It's My Loneliness
Alone, spinning memories that speak of you,
alone, I spit out the silence that springs from me,
I cry and invent laments
that disguise truths I find.
I lie and hide the anguish upon discovering that I lie,
out of the cowardice that lives in me,
I cry and silently accept
the mistakes I made and teach me to know.
It's my loneliness that insults me stuck to my skin,
that shouts at me that I have to learn, it's my loneliness.
It's my loneliness that doesn't want to be, that holds grudges,
that always leads me to beg
for those verses and caresses that your love taught me.
It's my loneliness that shows itself, that will make me learn,
that always leads me to remember
what bitter, pure, and harsh loneliness is.
It's my loneliness.
Cold that I feel perfect, comfort for fools,
proud of fools, words without depth,
my suffocation is sincere, in the sea of my thawing soul.
Time, rhyming verses, that lose without your kisses,
I surrender to the memory, suffering if I think
and tired I wait for time to heal it
and make me know
It's my loneliness that insults me, stuck to my skin,
that shouts at me that I have to learn, it's my loneliness.
No matter how hard I try, I don't understand.
No matter how much I feel it, no matter how much I remember,
no matter how much I get tangled up, with nothing but silence
I remember you, Tani
