Esperando Nada

Waiting for Nothing
I'm going to reveal a story that is
sometimes a lie and sometimes not true.
I stayed sitting waiting for the arrival
of luck that couldn't be late.
And so much time passed that I
saw shadows in color.
And so many people passed by
that no one saw me.
I would wait standing for the night
to merge with the afternoon and the dawn.
Like a gale, the pieces of a burnt paper
stir at my passage.
And next to me, like a tree, grew
a whole illusion.
And next to it, monstrous, grew
a whole obsession.
[Chorus]
In the middle of the night, around three
something approaches and doesn't show itself.
Open my door, I want to come in and go out
and refresh before repeating.
I live on the street, studying as an apprentice
with books I never saw in school.
Open my door, I want to come in and go out
and refresh before repeating.
I would lose standing that feeling
of encountering things for the second time.
The opportunity to search in the drawers
for a memory to love.
And so much time passed that I
saw shadows in color.
And next to me, like a tree, grew
a whole illusion.
[Chorus]
In the middle of the night, around three
something approaches and doesn't show itself.
Open my door, I want to come in and go out
and refresh before repeating.
I live on the street, studying as an apprentice
with books I never saw in school.
Open my door, I want to come in and go out
and refresh before repeating.
