The Flood of Sin
It doesn't matter
how much you try to make me realize
No matter how much you comfort me and help me
There's always that little, but oh so strong spark
That somehow manages to ignite the fire again
That burns me from the inside out
No matter how much you fill me with lies
Lies about everything being fine, it'll work out, it'll be okay
I spit in your face and thank you
It's enough, I've heard enough lies
The lies that, together with the fire, kill me
Slowly but surely I walk in circles
Slowly but surely I die in this gray city
Of disgusting concrete, built by disgusting hands
Built by false, deceitful disgust like you
Certainly, deep inside I hope your lies are true
While silently praying for myself
After the rain comes the flood of sin in which we all will be swept away
