Höst

The trees are bare of leaves, seemingly lifeless
The park is cold and gray
The streetlights shine with melancholy
Passersby blend in with the sorrowful trees
Just like the leaves, they fall further down
Every day they get closer to the decay of life

Who said the grass is greener on the other side?
It's damn miserable everywhere

Tears fall hand in hand with autumn leaves
Misery is everywhere
Spread through these damn snowflakes
The cold and angst-filled wind hits me in the face
Like an icy snowball
I can't handle another winter with this cold
This icy anguish
There's ice on the water
I wonder if it will hold for me
