In the universe and within my heart

But are incredibly current
When I see the news, I see the world
Almost on the verge of disintegrating
I remember the precious promise
That Christ will soon return!
But while He doesn't come
I keep waiting

I continue with faith
I lift my eyes up high
My heart tells me: He is coming!
And I live my days thinking: It could be today!
Maybe a day or two, the day after tomorrow...
What matters to know is that He is coming!
And He comes to gather those who are already His!
My greatest desire one day is to embrace Him!
And throw myself at His feet in gratitude!
To behold Him, face to face, with the angels!
And touch the wounded hands there on the cross
When I think that day is approaching
When evil will exist no more
I am encouraged and renew my strength!
With the certainty that heaven will be my home!
