Un Día de Estos

One of these days I'm going to leave,
On the road I never took
Far from all pettiness,
All selfishness far from so much vulgarity,
So much madness and speed
That runs through me in this city,
Where I live I'm going to try to recognize,
The human being that lives in me
That is behind this gray layer,
Like hidden I'm going to chat with that child,
Who goes calmly in his solitude
With animals and nothing else, maybe he helps me,
To see if I can connect,
With what I step on in my walk
With what grows under this light,
With the stars.
And when I come back you will see in me
The human being I always was
Who was behind this gray layer
Like hidden.
