Mi Historia

My Story
Friends, this is my story
The one I'm going to tell you
Don't get
Sad, nor sentimental
I've been fighting for 20 years
To take a place
I was born in a small town
Between poverty and need
Between coffee and cattle
There I learned to work
But dreaming one day
To be able to sing to the town
The war in my country
Sent me to the city
Without having anything in my hands
I started working
I sold books on the streets
I'm not ashamed to say
I met the love of my life
With a very similar story
And together we have fought
To be able to reach the star
That I hold in my hands today
Which was not easy to achieve
The stones on the road
Helped me to shape
Some want to see you on top
Others want to bring you down
But to those who helped me
My God will pay them
The war in my country
Sent me to the city
Without having anything in my hands
I started working
I sold books on the streets
I'm not ashamed to say
