Guardando Il Cielo

Watching the Sky
If you ask me what I do in this life, my friend
The only thing I can tell you is that I don't even know
We live in too austere times
We are city animals
Yet you know that every night before I go to sleep
I, who inherited everything from my grandmother, say a prayer to God
It may seem like a ritual to you, but it gives me serenity
With the certainty that there is
A reality that goes beyond my understanding
You can call it magic
But for me, it's now called the universe
I clench my fists and still laugh that life is only this one
If another life comes one day
I have already promised myself not to live it in the city, so
I take the good of each day
What good does it do a man
To wake up and say that today won't go well
The prediction of a truth is too presumptuous
If you ask me what I do in this life, my friend
The only thing I can tell you is that I don't even know
We live in too austere times in these stupid cities
But I have the certainty that there is
A reality that goes beyond my understanding
You can call it utopia
But for me, it's just the universe
I clench my fists and still laugh
That life is only this one
If another life comes one day
I have already promised myself not to live it in the city
I take the good of each day
What good does it do a man
To wake up and say that today won't go well
The prediction of a truth is too presumptuous
Of a truth
Of a truth
Of a truth
