El Espantapajaros

The Scarecrow
The magpies come almost daily to the place,
but it's not enough and I'm tired of watching
Alone, always alone.
My friend was the moon but the sun dazzled her
at night we talked about things between us.
Then I witnessed how lonely the wheat field is left.
What a sad fate!
Not even being able to move a bit south.
Even the moon fell asleep
and the rain rolled down the roof.
And me with nothing to do,
this happens to me for being a scarecrow.
Always alone
In English casimir with the tie upside down,
casimir that a deceased judge inherited to me a century ago.
And my tie is a feast for rats.
My hat is brown and my head is a ball.
And 32 years ago a girl who passed by
made with her gaze that in my chest
a heart would beat.
Damn luck!
I couldn't even move that day.
I wanted to tell her untie me from this stake
that ties me to this wheat field
and take me with you,
centuries I've been here
and until today I know I'm a man
and not a woman.
But nothing is what I could do,
that's what happens to me
a scarecrow.
Always alone.
Always alone.
Always alone.
