Con Una Estrella
Ricardo Arjona
With a Star
In the monthly process, the latest in its history
She went to a school friend with whom she shared her memory
She told her that two months ago with that fleeting boy
They made a tremendous mess in that old hotel
The elderly doctor; after the tests announced the positive
And by this time the future father was already a fugitive
And while a newspaper announces the worn-out utopia
Of the external debt, that girl is making
Her chest a wise maternal
You carry a star in your belly, you carry a life that beats
A possible engineer, rocker, or writer
Maybe a bohemian, maybe a gentleman, maybe a composer poet
Half crazy or troubadour, maybe an idea, maybe a solution
She has sought among her friends the best
Of advice ranging from an injection
To a crab soup
And without the slightest caution after doctors gave her
Her quote while they announce on TV another devaluation
You carry a star in your belly, you carry a life that beats
A possible engineer, rocker, or writer
Maybe a bohemian, maybe a gentleman, maybe a composer
Poet half crazy or troubadour, maybe an idea, maybe a solution
To that star in your belly, don't tell it to stop
If they had done it with me
Today a song would be missing
