Life

I was born out of love and midwife
In my mother's same bed,
Due to a matter of chromosomes
I was the son my dad wanted;
My old man was the school teacher,
My mom the sergeant of the place,
I was their watercolor sketch
The third and last to arrive.

I saw so many moons
That today I don't know if I am or was,
So many vaccines
To survive.

I learned to run one morning
Before learning to walk,
A lieutenant came through the window
And we all felt like escaping.
Brazil was the champion in seventy,
And on the radio, Paul said
