A Siete Metros
Ricardo Arjona
Seven Meters Away
I hung from your gaze, slipped on your nose
And jumped from the catapult of your jaw
After taking a dip between your lips
With no other locomotion than imagination
I ended up at your neck and from your neck to your blouse
And slipped through the buttonhole
After taking a good look at the heart
On the wings of a plane that is pure illusion
And already inside your blouse, I was skirting your figure
Measuring kiss by kiss the extent of your stature
And stumbled upon a belt that fit your waist
That returned me to my position seven meters from your location
And I don't know your name or your age
Where you live, how you think, if you share your humidity
Here I am like a pirate rummaging through your privacy
Seven meters away from your integrity
I slipped through your belly button, ended up at the bottom
And came out with the help of a fragile hair
While looking for a way
To bypass your belt with pure imagination
Dreaming, I became a microbe, and passed without bending down
And your underwear dazzled me
And when I was about to find you
I was interrupted by a waiter: 'Another one like this?'
Bring me a double whiskey and feel like the owner of my misfortune
I was about to find her when you interrupted me
And I turned to see her and she was no longer there
And as always, I remained seven meters away from reality
And I don't know your name or your age
Where you live, how you think, if you share your humidity
Here I am like a pirate rummaging through your privacy
Seven meters away from your integrity
