The sound of a train wakes me up
It's been 2 hours and a half that I've slept
For breakfast I have a cigar
And the mirror tells me I've never been thinner
My room is a chaos of objects
Nothing's in it's place
It's been a month since they've cut my phone
And this black and white TV
Doesn't want to work
And your photo smiling on the side
Although it seems corny
It brings me a tear
And the dog that was my only friend
Has found another
And I'm still here
As alone as a blonde in Harlem
And I'm free and it doesn't work
Why would a tiger want freedom in the Moon?
It doesn't work
I've shared my bed a hundred times and I want to leave
What's happening to me?
Where I live since you've been gone is no longer called home
The night falls and all is silent
There is no one on the street thirty three
Tonight I will have to light a candle
For not paying they cut my light
And to top it all off the lady tells me
My rent is due
And I'm still here
As alone as a hippie in Siberia
And I'm free and it doesn't work
Why would a tiger want freedom in the Moon?
It doesn't work
I've shared my bed a hundred times and I want to leave
What's happening to me?
Where I live since you've been gone is no longer called home
And I'm free and it doesn't work
Why would a tiger want freedom in the Moon?
It doesn't work
I've shared my bed a hundred times and I want to leave
What's happening to me?
Where I live since you've been gone is no longer called home
