Visão de Isaías

Vision of Isaiah
In the year that King Uzziah died
I saw the Lord seated on a high and lofty Throne
And His Glory filled the whole temple
And above Him, I saw Seraphim flying
Each had six wings and I beheld
With two they covered their faces
With two they covered their feet and with two they flew
And they called to one another exalting God
It was beautiful, the sound I heard from heaven
That angelic chant enveloped me there
And one said: Holy, Holy, Holy!
The other: Holy, Holy, Holy!
They flew and sang, saying
Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy!
With reverence they worshipped
The Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy, Holy!
In an unmatched harmony, in a celestial choir
Which I had never seen
And the thresholds of the doors
Moved at the Voice of the one who called
And the house was filled with smoke, oh what glory!
I beheld
And I said: Woe is me, for I am undone
I am a man of unclean lips
And I dwell among a people of unclean lips
And my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts!
And my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of Hosts!
But one of the Seraphim flew to me
Holding in his hand a live coal
He had taken from the altar with tongs
And he touched my mouth with it and said
Behold, this has touched your lips
And your iniquity is taken away and your sin purged!
After this I heard the voice of the Lord saying
Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?
Then I said: Here am I, here am I
Send me, here am I, here am I!
Prostrated, humbled, surrendered, burned
Touched, molded
I am a vessel of clay, ready to be used
Sent, ordained, with lips burned
You command and I speak to all peoples
To rich, to poor, to layman, to scholar, I will speak Lord
I am no longer mine, now I am Yours
Send me
After this encounter, I know I am ready
Lord, here am I!
After this encounter, I know I am ready
Lord, here am I!
Here am I, here am I!
