Mis Cenizas
Arturo Zambo Cavero
My Ashes
The day I die
I want to be buried
Where they bury the men of this land
If my lifeless body can't find a place
I want all my ashes to go to the sea
In the summer alone, your body over the sea
With the kiss of the waves, you will have to remember me
And with the twilight breeze my ashes sailing at random
They will impregnate your body, to caress you again
My ashes are memories
Of a love that burned in a bonfire
How they burn!
My ashes and on the sandbank
Still my steps will be
