Final Testimony
I celebrate my fate
of feeling as I feel,
of living as I live,
of dying as I die.
And because I celebrate it
and I am finally nothing
in the shadow of a verse,
I say to you: thank you very much!
A thousand thanks, yes sir
for life and death,
for being just this,
a fleeting and light straw.
And for spending my final days
in the world,
with empty hands
and a deep heart.
