The Homeless
I return home alone, before dawn.
Today I return home alone and it's been like this for a long time.
Intoxicated by pleasures I lived
Little by little, that's how I became what I am.
I lost everything, even the desire to feel,
I let time go by neglecting my being
and today I'm just like that homeless man,
the one who used to scare me when I was a child.
I wander through life aimlessly now,
I drift alone, does nobody see me?
All those I love are afraid,
my children don't recognize me, does nobody see me?
I am a homeless man.
Now I am plagued by strange visions
of twisted dreams that won't let me sleep
and in procession all the dogs follow me
that roam the streets abandoned like me.
I wander through life aimlessly now,
I drift alone, does nobody see me?
All those I love are afraid,
my children don't recognize me, does nobody see me?
I am a homeless man.
