Cardboard Collector
In the morning I have breakfast with the doubts left over from the previous night
Then I go out to earn a living early, whether it's cold or hot
Because there's no time to be bitter or cry for a better past
The priority is the plate on the table and however, it must be earned
So, I see that things are getting very tough and every day more
If my wife is pulling the cart with me, side by side
And since there's no money to send the kids to study
We also take them to collect cardboard
Otherwise, who are we going to leave them with?
On the street I graduated, in the art of surviving
Digging through trash, collecting what this system left for me
And to those who run the country, to those people I want to say
I suggest you switch sides for a moment
And see if you can handle living my life as a cardboard collector
What a paradox, that having more than enough reasons to go steal
I avoid crime, inventing work where there is none
And on top of that, I am the ecological alternative by chance
Recycling what everyone throws away, the waste of society
So I see those people who have more than enough and always want more
With their cars they run over the world talking on their cell phones
And having their future secured, they don't stop stealing
To those gentlemen I want to shout
What's going on around here!
Because on the street I graduated in the art of surviving
Digging through trash, collecting what this system left for me
And to those who run the country, to those people I want to say
I suggest you switch sides for a moment
And see if you can handle living my life as a cardboard collector
