Miradas
Axel Fernando
Gazes
There are looks that without a doubt
Say more than a thousand words
And when seen all together
They are like mirrors of the soul
There are looks that when they gaze
Are hurtful and injure
While there are others so serene
That console and caress
There are insistent, mysterious, recurring looks
And there are indifferent ones, like those of so many people
There are looks that hide truths
That cause much harm
And there are those that in the daily struggle
Strengthen and accompany
And there are looks that are lost
Among thousands of looks
They walk alone through life
In search of other looks
And there are looks that captivate
For being beautiful and profound
Like your blue gaze
That captivates me day by day
There are looks that, for being sad
Mourn those who see them
And there are those sweet looks
That ennoble those who wear them
There are looks that melt
Even the hardest heart
And gently illuminate
The darkest thoughts
There are looks
That, lost among thousands of looks
Walk alone through life
In search of other looks
And there are looks that captivate
For being beautiful and profound
Like your blue gaze
That captivates me day by day.
