Ghost City Tokyo

Ghost City Tokyo
The lights of the city shine like stars
Looking down on me, so out of place
I weave through the gaps between those buildings
Mixing with the neon that’s starting to glow
Even as I pass through my time and this world
I sink into the night
On the last train home, I trace my way back
Reflected in the glass window, I see
Not the person I dreamed I’d be
But someone on the verge of tears
Lost and wandering alone in the dark
A sad soul
It’s okay, someday it’ll be alright
How many days have I piled up thinking that?
Even today, I’m just a ghost in the Tokyo scene
Fading into the background
As I get used to losing things
Even that wish I forgot long ago
When I remember it
Tears fall down
Because this city is just
Too damn bright
Even in the midst of three thousand voices, I sigh
In these contrasting days
Memories from that day flash back
Before I know it, logic opens up till morning
I’ll ride my words on the sound, again and again
As I get used to losing things
Even those days I forgot
Still, I can think ahead
And that’s because
You’re here with me
Hey
In this lonely city
Hey
The lights of the city shine like stars
Looking down on me, so out of place
Reaching out past those buildings
Tracing the scenery I dreamed of that day
Even as I pass through my time and this world
I call for tomorrow
As I get used to losing things
When I hold tight to the precious memories I haven’t lost
Suddenly, tears fall down
Because in this city, I still
Want to keep living
You feel the same, right?
