Patria Mía
Ayote En Miel
My Homeland
A town awakens, stops crying
Friends grow and then leave
The streets and courtyards are lonely
And the distant sea makes us wait
Women dream, love truly
Men work and know how to sing
They fight against the monster of reality
Overcoming death and necessity
My homeland, the sun shines on you
Flowers and fruits adorn your being
My homeland, your love lulls me
Birds singing at every dawn
Children and elders are wise and more
Those who are not poets play at painting
Others have fun just dreaming
It's a town full of tenderness and humility
It's a wounded but immortal God
Who never falters and without vanity
With his bird-like voice, he encourages others
To keep sailing the endless sky
