Masonry (feat. Guto and Likute Band)
In the name of ambition, power, and materialistic spirit
The grace of ambition, the love of power in communion
With the materialistic spirit, be with you
To properly celebrate our worthy mysteries
Let us acknowledge that we are poor
Let us confess our mistakes!
I confess to God, Almighty Father, and to you, brothers
That I have erred many times out of honesty and solidarity
Acts of generosity and friendship
Through my fault, my great fault
And I ask you, brothers, to pray for my wealth
To God our Lord
God Almighty have mercy on us
Forgive our lack of ambition
And lead us to eternal wealth!
Dear brothers in the ambition for power
Let us now listen to the first reading
Taken from the Old Book of our history
Chapter nine, verse eleven
Europeans thinking about your power and glory
Occupied Africa and wrote our history
With the Bible in one hand and a pistol in the other
They raised a Church and denied us a school
They stimulated trade and sowed discord
Subjugated kingdoms with the power of gunpowder!
Promoted differences between dark and light
Called the first blacks and the second mulattos
Called Tutsis superior, by the shape of the nose
Hutus inferior, slaves by root
Belgians in Rwanda, French in Niger
Blacks in Louisiana called Nigger
And when Europeans developed a taste for sugar
Slaves in Brazil planted sugar cane
And cotton in South America and New Mexico
While whips taught the new lexicon!
Europeans conquered your glory, oh God!
African slaves remained atheists
And when slavery was no longer profitable
They left blacks in Africa mourning in black
And formed other Africas of blacks in the world
Descendants of slaves in the ghettos of the world
And formed other Africas of blacks in the world
Descendants of slaves in the ghettos of the world

Dear brothers, in the ambition for power
Let us now listen to the second reading
Taken from the Old Book of our history
Chapter one, verse ten
Your apostles spread your Church
Said that having you is enough to have everything one desires
They divided the world in Berlin at the last supper
Then created the IMF, saying the world is a village
Your apostles modernized the colonial world
Now the chains are called World Bank
They bless conflicts and offer external aid
To the poor is offered the gift of eternal debt
And with debt comes the blessing of dependence
African leaders kneel in your presence
For your glory, they condemn children at birth
For every fortune, thousands of them are neglected
The greater the need, the greater the belief
That only the Lord commands our existence
And the third world now dreams of the first
Turn off the television and wake up to the nightmare!
City people want everything they see in the shop window
Learn that happiness is something that can be bought
Country people just want a plate of food
Don't dream of the city, the outskirts are enough!
The world is divided into West and East
But both wait for the Lord to guide them!
The world is divided into West and East
But both wait for the Lord to guide them!

Gospel
His son walked in the great civilizations preaching
When he left his last prayer
In the name of ambition, power, and materialistic spirit
Hear this prayer, oh capitalist God
Thy will be done by the hundred servants
In sacred bank accounts, amen
May our daily bread never fail us
Even if decency and shame fail us
And if necessary spill blood everywhere
But in the name of development save our part!
Let the poor pay for the forgiveness of debts
We contracted to pay for the luxury of our lives
Hotels and good clinics, paradise vacations
Justice, education, culture, and politics!
May your infinite glory come to us
Protect us now and in the hour of our glory
Work a miracle and do not let us go away
Amen!
