Like a stone you throw into the sea, it bounces and then sinks
like how brief was the drawing you saw in that cloud
like a hangover that the next day is already a headache
like how long it takes for my beard to grow after shaving
I open my eyes,
I see everything like yesterday
and if there's something that changed
it's what made me grow
even if I realize that time I can't stop
I rust little by little but I keep being metal
WHAT I'M MADE OF WON'T CHANGE
EVERYTHING THAT WAS AND WHAT WILL BE
REMAINS IMPRISONED SOMEWHERE
Like the gap that separates laughter from tears
like how long my hands take
after seeing your body to touch it
like so many other things of fleeting passage
each moment is ephemeral
it passes quickly but remains imprisoned somewhere
