O Valor Que Uma Mãe Tem
Baitaca
The Value That a Mother Has
For the children of Brazil and for the adults as well
I will explain the truth, I don't want to offend anyone
It's an educational example for a people I care about
With morals I engage and I want to show in verse
The value that a mother has
Whether poor or rich, whether a white or black mother
No one is more than anyone, all are part of the same kitchen
A mother is worth a treasure, she is queen within the home
I may be rougher than a colt, but I respect the mothers of others
Because I value my own
A mother is a sacred jewel of the most beautiful grace
Some struggle and others live in abundance
Working in an office or in agriculture
It's a deep feeling, but some mothers travel the world
Leading an insecure life
A poor mother suffers to earn her bread
Raising a son or daughter with the best education
It was from a woman's womb that this laborer was born
For mothers, I sing with care, verse with warmth and respect
From the bottom of my heart
To all the mothers of this world, I sing and give assurance
To my mother, I give affection instead of rebellion
I wish health, peace, and harmony to the mothers of this land
For the mothers who have gone to heaven, I kneel and tip my hat
And pray every day
Here I am finishing in a rough yet gentle way
With my conscience clear like my sky of azure
Mother is a sacred word to which we add the tilde
In a simple rhymed verse, I send a tight hug
To all the mothers of Brazil
