The Little Gypsies
When she told me she didn’t love me, I ran like a madman, full of pain and sorrow
I thought about my sadness, wanting to end it all, so I walked into a bar to find some courage
Sitting at the table, sipping tequila, a gypsy walked in and saw me crying
She said, "Don’t cry, your pain isn’t that bad, I know that ungrateful one will come back for you."
I put my hand out, she read my future, she said, "She’ll return, she can’t live without you.
Leave that sadness behind and go with confidence, I’ve seen it in your palm, you’ll be very happy."
I gave her a coin, the gypsy left, I grabbed a guitar and started to sing
I had more tequila and shouted with joy, I waited for her, wanting to love her again.
Days turned into months, and months into years, and that hope of seeing her again
And that sadness has all changed, I don’t care anymore if she thinks of coming back.
I went back to the bar to drink tequila, I could let out a shout and sing with joy
And I’m thankful to the little gypsy who, with her lies, taught me how to forget.
