O Jovem Rico

One day a young man approached Jesus and asked:
- 'Good teacher, what must I do to attain eternal life?'
Jesus said: - 'Why do you call me good if only my Father is good?
Follow my precepts and observe the commandments.
The young man, feeling great happiness, said:
- 'I have done all this since a very young age!'
Jesus looked at him and then said:
- 'If you want to be perfect, there is one more thing you must do:
Sell everything you have and go distribute it among the poor.
Then you will have treasure in heaven. Come, follow me.'
Hearing these words, he left with sadness.
He was saddened because he had many riches.
It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle
Than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.
