Emozioni
Lucio Battisti
Emotions
Following with the eyes a heron above the river and then
Finding oneself flying
And lying happily on the grass listening
To a subtle regret
And at night passing with the gaze over the hill to discover
Where the sun goes to sleep
Wondering why when sadness falls
Deep in the heart
Like snow makes no noise
And driving like a madman with headlights off in the night
To see
If then it's so difficult to die
And holding hands to stop
Something that
Is inside me
But in your mind it's not there
You can't understand
You can call them if you want
Emotions
You can call them if you want
Emotions
Getting out of the moorland in the morning
Where you can't see a step ahead
To find oneself
Talking about this and that with a fisherman
For hours and hours
To not feel that something inside is dying
And covering a green plant with earth
Hoping that
One day a red rose may bloom
And punching a man alone
Because he was a bit rude
Knowing that what burns are not the offenses
And closing the eyes to stop
Something that
Is inside me
But in your mind it's not there
You can't understand
You can call them if you want
Emotions
You can call them if you want
